Rising Belarusian tennis player Ilya Ivashka had a memorable year in 2021. He made his maiden entry to a Grand Slam main draw — Wimbledon — and also made it to its fourth round for the first-time in his career. Not only that, he achieved his career-best singles ranking of World No.43 in the same year.

It also made him the first player from Belarus to win an ATP Tour singles title since Max Mirnyi in 2003 at Rotterdam besides being the eighth First-Time ATP Tour Champion.
