Top seed and tournament favorite Iga Swiatek have been consistent as well winning the majority of the tournaments she has played in recent months. She will be adamant to do the same at the ongoing Indian Wells Masters. She won the Qatar Open recently by beating the likes of Pegula, Kudermetova, Bencic, and Collins on the way. 10th seed Elena Rybakina has been in stellar form for the past few months and she will be adamant to perform well in the Indian Wells Masters as well. In her recent tournament at the Australian Open, she made it to the finals after beating players such as Azarenka, Ostapenko, Swiatek, Collins, and Juvan but lost to Sabalenka on the all-important day despite winning the first set. At the Adelaide International 1 tournament and the recent Dubai Tennis Championships, she made it to the round of 16 stage losing to Kostyuk and Gauff respectively. In the ongoing Indian Wells, she beat Kenin in the first-round matchup by 7-6, 7-6, and in the round of 32 matchup, she beat Badosa by 6-3, 7-5. She beat Gracheva in the round of 16 matchup by 6-3, 6-0, and beat Muchova in the quarter-finals by 6-7, 6-2, 4-6.
