She next played world No. 1 and last year’s runner-up Angelique Kerber, defeating her in three sets. She then won in straight sets over the seventh-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova and the 87th-ranked Magdalena Rybarikova to reach her second Wimbledon final. She won her second major title there and became the first player to ever defeat both Williams sisters in a major singles final when she defeated the 10th seed Venus Williams in straight sets.
In total, Muguruza has won prize money totaling USD 24 million over her tennis career so far. She came in at number six on Forbes’ ranking of the highest-paid female athletes in 2020. She earned USD 6.6 million in total, USD 4.5 million of which came from her several endorsements. She is thought to be worth USD 12 million.
As per the official WTA website, Muguruza has amassed over UD 24 million in prize money so far in her career with 10 singles titles and a win-loss record of 446-230. In 2022, she has earned over USD 480,000 as of August 20.
