Francisco Cerundolo has been a constant threat to all his opponents all thanks to his wonderful form that has got the whole tennis world talking and it will just be a matter of time until the young boy has the whole world at his feet. In his past few performances, he has made quite a name for himself by making it to the quarters at the Argentina Open losing only to Zapata Miralles, and also making it to the third round of the Australian Open where he was beaten by Auger-Aliassime in a four-set thriller. At the Cordoba Open, he could only make it to the quarters after retiring from the match against Coria due to injury. In the ongoing Barcelona Open, he beat Passaro in the first-round matchup by 2-6, 2-6, and in the round-of-16 matchup, he beat Ruud by 6-7, 3-6.
Dan Evans is a veteran of the sport and has been on the court for a decade now but he hasn’t been in the best of touch lately losing all the tournaments right in the first round he has played in the last couple of months. At the Indian Wells Masters, Miami Open, Monte Carlo Masters, Qatar Open, and the Dubai Tennis Championships, he got knocked out in the first round. At the Australian Open, he made it to the third round losing to Rublev and he also made it to the semi-finals of the Grand Prix Hassan II losing to Carballes Baena. In the ongoing Barcelona Open, he beat Arnaldi in the first-round matchup by 6-4, 6-3, and in the round-of-16 matchup, he beat Khachanov by 6-3, 6-4.
