Recently, Emma Raducanu was open about her personal and professional life. The well-known athlete, who is the newest Grazia UK cover star, discussed how her historic victory at the 2021 US Open was seen at home. Despite her enormous success, Emma Raducanu revealed that life continued as usual in her home and that she even had trouble finding a court for tennis practice. In the interview with Grazia, she stated, “After the US Open, I was struggling to get a court at my local club – there was no special treatment at all! (Winning the US Open) wasn’t a big deal at all for my family – it was just like a normal Friday or Saturday night.”
The British player remarked, however, that having the tennis courts reserved simply meant that she was able to have an impact and encourage members of her neighborhood to play tennis. I’m so proud; I don’t truly understand the effect I’ve had until I notice the tennis courts are much more heavily utilized. Kids at the National Tennis Center and at my old elementary school are both over the moon, she noticed.
