The defending champion Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk will face against the team of Sam Stosur and Matthew Ebden in the final round of mixed doubles in Wimbledon 2022.
In 18 years, Sam Stosur and Matthew Ebden are the first all-Australian pair to get to a Wimbledon mixed doubles final. The Australian team won their semifinal match against American team Coco Gauff and Jack Sock 6-3 5-7 7-5 to earn a place in this year’s championship event. In the one-hour, 59-minute match, there wasn’t much of a difference between the two teams; Stosur and Ebden won with 100 points to their opponent’s 98. It is Stosur and Ebden’s second Grand Slam final together after they placed second in their maiden matchup at the Australian Open in 2021.
Sania Mirza and Mate Pavic were on the verge of making their first Wimbledon mixed doubles final when they were stopped in their tracks by Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk, the defending champions. To give them a chance to defend their crown, Skupski and Krawczyk fought to a victory of 4-6 7-5 6-4. The final match will definitely an interesting one and as final showdown between the two teams.
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Thursday, July 7 in the Semi-final of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championship is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 7 as the singles competition reaches its business end.
