Federico Delbonis v Mikael Ymer will take on each other on Monday, July 18 in the first round of the 2022 Swiss open Gstaad.
The Swiss Open currently sponsored by J. Safra Sarasin and called the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad and originally known as the Swiss International Championships is a tennis tournament held in Gstaad, Switzerland. Held since 1898, the tournament is played on outdoor clay courts. Between 1970 and 1989 it was an event of the Grand Prix tennis circuit and is now a part of the ATP Tour schedule as an ATP Tour 250 series event. The first edition of the tournament was played in 1915 at the Gstaad Palace Hotel and was organized in collaboration with the Lawn Tennis Club (LTC) Gstaad.
This year’s form for Faderico Delbonis has been less than stellar. The Argentine’s solitary bright light on the circuit this season has been a run to the quarterfinals in Bueno Aires. The World No. 84 is a clay court specialist who has won two titles and placed runner-up twice on the circuit, with all four finals taking place on clay. Ymer equaled his greatest Grand Slam performance by reaching the third round at Roland Garros for the second year in a row, and he also reached the quarterfinals in the season opener in Adelaide-1. He made his debut at Gstaad last year, winning the first two rounds.
Federico Delbonis v Mikael Ymer will take on each other on Monday, July 18 in the first round of the 2022 Swiss open Gstaad. The competition is scheduled to commence on July 17 and conclude on July 23 this year.
