The Davis Cup Finals, the year’s final major event, will be held from November 22 to November 27, bringing the tennis season to a close. Eight teams remain and will compete in the quarterfinals beginning on Tuesday. In the first quarterfinal, Australia will face the Netherlands. Alex de Minaur and Thanasi Kokkinakis will lead the Australian charge, while Botic van de Zandschulp will lead the Dutch charge.

On November 23, Spain and Croatia will compete in the second quarterfinal. Carlos Alcaraz, the world number one, was initially part of the Spanish team but had to withdraw due to an injury a few weeks ago. Veterans Pablo Carreno Busta and Roberto Bautista Agut now lead the Spaniards. Marin Cilic, the 2014 US Open champion, is expected to lead the Croatian team. They finished second last year and will be looking to go one step further this year.

The remaining two quarterfinal matches will take place on Thursday (November 24), with Italy facing the United States and Germany facing Canada. Following the withdrawal of Jannik Sinner, Matteo Berrettini is the highest-ranked Italian in the squad. Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe lead the Americans. Germany will begin as underdogs against Canada, who will be led by Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov despite the absence of their star player, Alexander Zverev.

The semi-finals will be held on Friday (November 25) and Saturday (November 26), followed by the championship round on Sunday (November 27). The Davis Cup always produces some classic matches, and with so many top players in the mix, there are bound to be a few in this edition as well.
