The 2022 Canadian Open is a outdoor hard court tennis competitions held from August 7 to August 14, 2022, and is also known as the 2022 National Bank Open presented by Rogers. The women’s competition was held in the Aviva Centre in Toronto, while the men’s competition was held at the IGA Stadium in Montreal. It was the 120th edition of the women’s tournament and the 132nd edition of the men’s tournament, both of which were Masters 1000 events on the 2022 ATP Tour. This year will see a number of top players in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
Daniil Medvedev, Carlos Alcaraz and Stefanos Tsitsipas are some of the top ATP seeds in the competition. The Russian will be playing to defend his crown as he was the victor in the previous edition. The WTA players include world no. 1 Iga Swiatek, Paula Badosa and Ons Jabeur.
The 2022 edition of the Canadian Open is set to begin from August 8 and go on until August 15. The men’s final is scheduled to be on August 15 and the women’s one is set to be held on August 14. There will be six rounds of play in the main draw excluding the qualifiers.
