On paper, Norrie should have a simple victory against the Andujar but you never know when it comes to tennis.
Cameron Norrie, seeded ninth, will take on Pablo Andujar in the first round at Wimbledon on Monday (No. 100). At his last match, Norrie lost to Maxime Cressy 5-7, 5-7, in the Viking International Eastbourne semifinals on June 23, 2022. The last time Andujar played, he lost to Marco Cecchinato in five sets, 6-4, 6-4, 0-6, 5-7, 6-0, in the first round at the French Open on May 24, 2022. Norrie now has a 1-2 record in his two tournaments played on grass thus far this year. On grass this year, Norrie has prevailed in 21.1% of break points.
Norrie and Andujar are scheduled to face each other on Monday, July 27 in the first round of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championships are scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There are a number of exciting matches on opening day as the likes of Djokovic, Sinner, Murray, Norrie and Alcaraz will be in action.
