Bouzkova enjoyed a comfortable 6-3, 6-1 win over Camila Osorio in the second round on Thursday. Despite having a poor service performance, the Czech tennis player returned five out of eight break points to seal the deal and move on into the last 16.

Liudmila Samsonova pulled off a massive upset in the round of 32 as she beat second seed Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. The Russian scored five aces and returned four out of even break points to claim the victory. “I think we played an amazing match today. It’s very tough to play against Aryna,” Samsonova said. “For me, she’s an amazing player. I step on the court and try to do my best, and today was my day.”
