Anna Bogdan will take on Katerina Siniakova in the round of 16 of the 2022 WTA Poland Open. The Czech made short work of Jesika Maleckova on Monday, beating her by a score of 6-2, 6-4. Siniakova hit three aces and converted six out of 14 break points. She had a fine performance at the German Open earlier this year where she beat the likes of second seed Daria Kasatkina and Laura Pigossi to reach the quarter-finals. Although she is unseeded in Warsaw, Siniakova is one of the most technically sound players at the competition.
Romanian tennis player Anna Bogdan has had a fantastic start to the 2022 Poland Open, beating seventh seed Nuria Parrizas-Diaz in the first round by a score of 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). Bogdan hit one aces in the match and converted three out of three break points in the process. She will be looking to repeat the performance against Siniakova.
Anna Bogdan and Katerina Siniakova will face each other in the second round of the 2022 WTA Poland Open on Wednesday, July 27. The WTA 250 competition is scheduled to start from July 25 and end on July 31 this year.
