One of the main ATP events in Austria is the 2022 Austrian Open, or Kitzbühel Open also formally known as the Generali Open will be held in late July.
Some of the top tennis players in the world will go to Kitzbuhel, Tirol, in late July 2022 to compete for cash prizes and to display their talents. Eleven years ago, Kitzbühel was added back to the ATP World Tour schedule. International tennis competitions have taken place in the town every summer on outdoor clay courts for the past 78 years. The matches will be broadcast live across the world. Dominic Thiem is one of the top competitors in this tournament, which has been held in Prague since 1894 . It moved to Vienna during the First World War before making its Kitzbuhel premiere in 1959. However, it didn’t start appearing regularly at its current location until 1969.
