Argentina’s Cordoba will host the fifth iteration of the Cordoba Open, an ATP 250 competition, from February 6–12. One of the four Latin American tournaments that make up the “Golden Swing,” it will be the first claycourt event of the year on the men’s tour. 28 in the world The top two seeds and home favourites to win the championship are Diego Schwartzman and Francisco Cerundolo, who is ranked 31st. In 2020, Cristian Garin of Chile defeated Schwartzman in the championship match after three sets. Francisco has not yet experienced success at Cordoba, but in 2021, Juan Manuel Cerundolo, his younger brother, won the championship. After being forced to miss the previous edition due to injury, Juan Manuel will participate in the competition this year.
Garin and Albert Ramos Vinolas, the tournament’s reigning champion, will both be hoping for more success in the upcoming edition. Another artist to keep an eye out for is the 22-year-old rising star from Argentina named Sebastian Baez.
