Carlos Alcaraz, the top seed, and Giulio Zeppieri of Italy, will square off in the 2022 ATP Umag Open semifinal on Saturday.

In July of last year, Carlos Alcaraz won the 2021 Umag title after defeating seasoned player Richard Gasquet in the championship match in straight sets. One year later, Carlos Alacaraz is ranked fifth in the world and has won two Masters tournaments, including a very memorable clay Madrid Masters championship. In the opening round, he ran into Pedro Cachin and lost the opening set once more. Zeppieri beat Cachin despite being a huge underdog by playing tennis that was incredibly appealing. Later, he defeated Bernabé Zapata Miralles in the quarterfinal and Daniel Elahi Galan in the second round. The 20-year-old Italian player is regarded as a top talent and possesses a powerful top spin on his left forehand. He is a tough player and will battle the Alcaraz valiantly.

Carlos Alcaraz and Giulio Zeppieri will take on each other on Saturday July 30 in the semifinal round of the 2022 Croatia open. The competition is scheduled to commence on July 25 and conclude on July 31 this year.
