It was a disappointing day for Indian shuttlers at the French Open Super 750 as Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy and Sameer Verma crashed out in the Round of 16.
After a slew of withdrawals reduced the men's singles draw to just three seeded players, the Verma brothers, Sameer and Saurabh, and Prannoy.
Prannoy, a former top-10 player who made a strong showing before losing in the quarterfinals of the India Open to Lakshya Sen last week.
Sindhu looked sluggish in her first event in two months at last week's Denmark Open, where she lost in the quarterfinals to fast-rising Korean An Seyoung.
