AC Milan are among the clubs interested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has reportedly snubbed an offer from Al-Nassr. According to Sky Sports UK, the Gabonese footballer is expected to leave Arsenal in the last week of January transfer window but is willing to continue his career in Europe. The club is reportedly willing to consider offers for the former skipper, who was stripped of the captaincy in December after a disciplinary breach. Apart from Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille and Sevilla have enquired about the 32-year-old.

Milan have terminated the loan of Pietro Pellegrini, signing Red Star starlet Marko Lazetic. However, both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud have been struggling with injuries, so the Italian giants are considering their options.

Meanwhile, the forward’s salary is a difficult obstacle to overcome. The 32-year-old is one a 15 million Euros-a-year deal at the Emirates stadium, while Milan’s highest paid player is Ibrahimovic, whose salary is 7.5 million Euros.

Aubameyang’s contract with the Gunners expires in June 2023 and other big European clubs are reportedly interested in securing his services. He played in Milan’s youth sector in 2007 and wanted to return to San Siro in 2017, but the Rossoneri didn’t make an offer to sign the forward from Borussia Dortmund, therefore he joined Arsenal.

My heart is absolutely fine: Aubameyang

Aubameyang recently returned to London from the Africa Cup of Nations for medical examinations after being diagnosed with heart lesions following a positive COVID-19 test.

Following the medical check-up, Aubameyang posted on Instagram: “I came back to London to do some additional checks, and I’m very happy that my heart is absolutely fine and I am completely healthy!!

“Really appreciate all the messages over the last few days and I’am already back at it.”

According to Sky Sports News, Aubameyang has been given all-clear after an MRI scan and an Electrocardiogram (ECG).
