Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has no intention of leaving the club this summer but the Serie A champions cannot make any guarantee about his future. Martinez has been in sublime form for the Nerazzurri this season, having already netted 23 goals across all competitions. In the last game against Empoli on Friday, the Argentina international netted a a second half brace to help his side come from behind and secure a 4-2 victory and move to the summit of the Serie A standings, at least for time being as second-placed AC Milan, who are just one point behind them, will be in action against Verona on Sunday.

If a serious offer arrives, Inter will consider them

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Martinez doesn’t want to leave Inter in the summer and will not push for a transfer. He feels central to Simone Inzaghi’s plans and enjoys life in Inter. Unfortunately for him, Inter cannot make any guarantees about his future. Should some serious offers arrive for Martinez in the summer, the Nerazzurri would have to genuinely consider them. Whilst their initial intention isn’t to sell the 24-year-old, it’s impossible to rule out a super offer tempting them to give the green light to a deal.

Martinez has the shouldered Inter’s attack this term

Martinez has done well to help his side stay in contention for defending their title. With two more match days remaining, if Milan drop points in their upcoming fixtures, Inter are in with a chance to clinch the Scudetto. Last season, Inter won the title dominantly by accumulating a whopping 91 points in 38 games, 13 points more than the second-placed Milan. Striker Romelu Lukaku was a key figure in Inter’s title triumph, as he netted 24 times. Martinez provided ample support to Lukaku by scoring 17 goals.

Last summer, Lukaku moved to Chelsea and Martinez was given the responsibility of leading the attack. The 24-year-old has so far done a very good job and Eden Dzeko who was brought in as a replacement for Lukaku has been pretty handy with 13 scalps to his name in 35 Serie games. Inter will next face Juventus in the Coppa Italia final at Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday before traveling to Cagliari and then will end the campaign against Sampdoria at San Siro.
