Fiji vs Wales is scheduled for July 30 in Group C of the Commonwealth Games’ Rugby Sevens competition. The rugby sevens tournament match schedule, which will take place at Coventry Stadium from July 29 to July 31, has been officially announced by Birmingham 2022. The public distribution of the pools came next. Canada will compete in the women’s category, while New Zealand—which won the gold medal in the 2018 Gold Coast Games—will compete in the men’s tournament. They play Samoa and Sri Lanka (men) in the second game of the day (women). The important match versus New Zealand will be played in the morning session on July 30. On the first day, the men’s England squad will also face off against Samoa and Sri Lanka.

Although they have a successful track record, the Fijian men’s rugby sevens team has yet to take home a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. After winning home silver three times, Birmingham 2022 will be their fourth attempt to try to top the Commonwealth Games podium. Both the men’s and women’s Fijian sevens teams have withdrawn from Friday’s (July 29) Opening Ceremony. The first day of the competition features two pool matches between the teams. Day two features the quarterfinals and the third pool match. The competition’s semifinal and final rounds will take held on day three. They are expected to face their greatest competition for the gold from New Zealand, the most successful team in Commonwealth Games history.
