Cullen Grace, who wears No. 8, has a fractured collarbone and will likely miss the remainder of Canterbury’s 2022 season. Grace was hurt while playing last week’s match against Tasman. A doctor will evaluate him to see if surgery is necessary, at which point they can estimate how long his rehabilitation will take. But it looks the 22-year-old will once more succumb to a shoulder issue after his NPC career was also cut short last year. Grace is replaced in the starting XV by Liam Allen, while flanker Tom Christie, who is back from injury, will lead the team.

Canterbury RFC is a Kent-based rugby union football team that plays in England. The team is presently playing in National League 2 South, the fourth division of English club rugby, after being demoted from National League 1 at the conclusion of the 2019–20 season. The club fields a complete complement of youth teams in addition to five senior sides, the Canterbury Hellfire wheelchair rugby squad, a women’s team, and a touch rugby division.

Rugby union’s regulatory body, the North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU), sometimes known as North Harbour or just Harbour, covers a large geographic region north of Auckland, including North Shore City, Rodney District, the Hibiscus Coast, and a portion of Waitakere City. There are 12 rugby clubs, with the northernmost one being Mahurangi RFC in Warkworth, Rodney District, and the southernmost one being Massey. The clubs that left the Auckland Rugby Union in 1985 founded the NHRU provincial rugby squad. It participates in the Mitre 10 Cup, which replaced the National Provincial Championship as New Zealand’s domestic championship (NPC).
