As the Crown Jewel pay-per-view creeps ever closer, WWE attempted to use Raw on Monday night to continue building to the upcoming show in Saudi Arabia. This meant a pair of matches with top stars and Crown Jewel opponents being forced to work together in tag team action.

Predictably, the results were disastrous for both of those matches. On the men’s side, Drew McIntyre and Big E fell to The Usos when their tag team broke down. Similar problems were on display for the women when Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks could not coexist as they took on Crown Jewel triple threat opponent Becky Lynch and partner Charlotte Flair.

Multiple Crown Jewel opponents team together

Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair defeated Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair via disqualification

Banks and Belair argued before the match over who would be the first woman in the match against Lynch. Belair would get her revenge on Banks moments later, launching Banks from the top rope onto Flair and Lynch on the outside of the ring, all before the match had officially started. Things broke down into a four-way brawl before Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville intervened to announce that it was unacceptable and that the tag match would resume as planned. Shortly into the match, Banks and Belair began brawling again, leading the refree to inexplicably call for a disqualification. Banks, Belair and Lynch brawled until Lynch laid out Banks to be the last woman standing.

The Usos defeated Big E & Drew McIntyre via disqualification

Big E and McIntyre opened the show with a face-to-face meeting to discuss their upcoming WWE championship match at Crown Jewel when The Usos interrupted. This all led to McIntyre and Big E agreeing to coexist for one week — despite having tagged together the previous Monday — to take on The Usos. Big E tagged himself in as McIntyre was setting up for a Claymore. McIntyre got his revenge by pulling Big E off a pin after a Big Ending. That led to the pair brawling around the ring until they were counted out. After taking out The Usos after the match, Big E and McIntyre went back to brawling before McIntyre hit a Claymore to lay out the champion.
