“The Monster” Michael Todd was in India to kick off India’s own arm wrestling competition, “Pro Panja League Ranking Tournament 2022.” Todd is one of the biggest names in the arm wrestling world as he has won most of the world championships all around the globe. He is currently ranked 9th in the world rankings of arm wrestling, but his legacy and game goes strong.
As,Todd visited India to kickoff the Pro Panja League, sportslumo asked whether he thought that the Pro Panja League would be successful, Todd said, “Oh! As, everything I have seen about Pro Panja League is, its as professional of an organization I have seen. So, I mean, I have been to many organizations, I have been in this thing for 32 years, I have seen everything that’s came around, and this is as big as most WAF world championships. You know, In like many contestants you have and it is been known on a national level like, this is amazing. If they can continue to go on this path, I think anything is possible.”

When asked Todd that after winning this many world championships are there any goals he had planned next, he had something to say about it and he told about two organizations he believed if they get a world championship someday he would go for it. Todd said, “Ok, So uh…I have won at every professional arm-wrestling organization, at one time or another, I have held their world title. Now that was until some couple of years ago. King of the table does not have the world title yet. As far as I am aware. East vs West does not have a world title. If even one of those organizations becomes to give out a world championship title. I will have to go after it.”
Michael Todd also spoke about Levan, who is currently the world no.1 and is growing out to be one of the greatest dominating forces in the arm wrestling world. He continued, saying, “Obviously Levan is the one that everyone wants to arm-wrestle with. But I have to know if it is possible. It’s not likely, he is like something different that no one has seen before. But I do believe I have a chance. So, my short-term goal, my long-term goal is to get myself into the best shape as possible, to be the best version of me possible and retain the world title.”
Also, we asked him if someone wishes to be an arm-wrestler, what is the greatest challenge most athletes today face, so, just said making some video or seeing things on social media won’t help it takes hard work, years and years of hard work to become great. He said, “Well social media has made things a lot different. They have made everyone think that they can become the best, they can become a superstar overnight, just because I posted a few videos here and there. The greatest challenge people face in arm-wrestling in my opinion is realizing how much work it takes to be great.”
“So, many people think it’s just gonna be easy, I’m just gonna come and dominate. But, I have never seen that happen in my life, ever. If someone’s gonna do it, it can be Larry Wheels. He is one of the most strongest person who has ever walked the Earth. You can see how much work he has put in arm-wrestling and wherein his level still at. So, the biggest problem people are gonna have is to coming and thinking that they are going t be great overnight, but it just does not work that way.”
