Alexander Ovechkin is married to Russian supermodel Anastasia Shubskay. They met each other for the first time at the Summer Olympics 2008, in Beijing. They both lost contact with each other for the next five years as Anastasia lost her phone. They reconnected with each other when Alex came across her profile on Instagram in 2014. They soon got married thereafter in 2015.

Who is Alexander Ovechkin’s wife?

Anastasia was a professional model, and in 2014 she was marked as one of the ‘Top 10 Bachelorettes in Russia’. Apart from modelling, she is also popular as a social media influencer in Instagram. Anastasia and Alex have two kids with each other, both being boys.

Alexander Ovechkin is regarded by many as one of the best ice hockey left wingers to have played in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on 17 September,1985 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union.  He started out his career in the Russian League playing for Dynamo Moscow. He made his professional debut in the 2001–02 season, and managed to bag four points in 21 games. He spent three years in Russia before securing a draft in 2005 and he would rack up 36 goals and 32 assists in 152 career games in this short three seasons career at Moscow.

He currently plays for the Washington Capitals having joined them way back in 2005. He was named in the NHL All-Rookie Team his debut season in 2006 and has been in the NHL First All-Star Team 8 times. He has won the Art Ross Trophy once and he won the Hart Memorial Trophy 3 times. He is also a onetime Stanley Cup Champion. He has also won the Ted Lindsay Award 3 times and has been in the NHL Second All-Star Team 4 times. He has also the Rocket Richard Trophy 9 times and the Conn Smythe Trophy once. Alexander Ovechkin wears the #8 jersey for the Washington Capitals.
