The Toronto Maple Leafs will welcome the Los Angeles Kings to Scotiabank Arena for an NHL game on Thursday. The Leafs won 0-4 against the Stars in their last game. Matt Murray made a season-high 44 saves and Mitch Marner extended his Toronto-record point streak to 20 games with an early assist as the Maple Leafs beat the Dallas Stars 4-0 on Tuesday night.

“Big thanks to the guys in front who did a heck of a job defensively tonight against a really dangerous team,” said Murray, who was acquired from Ottawa last summer and shares time in net with fellow newcomer Ilya Samsonov.

The Kings on the other hand won 2-5 against the Senators in their last game.  Brady Tkachuk is as competitive as they come, and he could hardly stomach the lackluster effort his Ottawa Senators put together Tuesday night in a 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.

“There’s no explanation, there’s no excuses,” said the visibly frustrated Senators captain. “It’s unacceptable and it’s on us. We just weren’t ready. “For us to come out that flat and screw (goalie Cam Talbot) like that is just unacceptable. That’s not good.”
