The Colorado Avalanche will be on the road when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final at the Amalie Arena on June 26.
Defending champions Tampa Bay Lightning held on by the skin of their teeth when they beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in Game 5 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals. Ondrej Palat was the star of the show as the scored the winning goal to give the Lightning the win and cut the series deficit to 3-2.

Ondrej Palat scored the winning goal with 6:22 remaining and Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 35 shots in front of a fanatic crowd hoping to celebrate Colorado’s first cup win in 21 years. Nikita Kucherov and Jan Rutta also scored for Lightning while Valeri Nichushkin and Cale Makar had goals for Colorado. Colorado Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews said, “We have belief in our room that we can win every game we go out and play. We feel like we had a decent game tonight, pretty good game. Obviously, it wasn’t enough tonight.” Game 6 is on Sunday in Tampa at the Amalie Arena.
