The Tampa Bay Lightning will welcome the Arizona Coyotes to Amalie Arena for an NHL game on Saturday. The Lightning won 2-1 against the Rangers in their last game. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 45 saves through overtime, Alex Killorn scored the winner in the sixth round of the shootout, and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the New York Rangers 2-1 on Thursday night.
“That was a good hockey game.” Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. “To me, you could have inserted that for any one of the playoff games last year. It was wildly entertaining. Goalies were making saves, guys were getting chances, posts were ringing at both sides of the ice.”
The Coyotes on the other hand won 6-3 against the Leafs in their last game. Jack McBain scored two late goals, and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3 on Thursday night for their third straight win.
McBain broke a tie when he converted a cross-ice feed from Lawson Crouse with 6:17 remaining. McBain and Barrett Hayton scored into an open net in the final moments as the Coyotes became the first team to beat Toronto (22-8-6) twice this season. “Lawson is playing unreal right now,” McBain said. “He made a good pass there and I was just glad I was able to put it in.”
