The game Ottawa Senators vs New York Rangers will take place at the Canadian Tire Centre (Ottawa) on Wednesday, November 30 at 7:05 PM ET.
Both clubs are trying to recover from shaky beginnings to the season as they take on the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers, respectively. With three straight losses and a record of 10-9-4, the Rangers are now at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. Despite having the worst record in the Atlantic Division (8-12-1), the Senators have won back-to-back games. The upcoming game appears to be a good one because both teams want to advance within their divisions and the Eastern Conference.
The Rangers have shown promise this season, but with only eight goals in their previous three games, they still need to strengthen their offense, which is now producing 3.00 goals per game. And Adam Fox is contributing six goals and 19 assists from the point while Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, and Artemi Panarin have combined for 42 assists and 27 goals, the rest of the offense has struggled. The top-heavy attack might be limited by opposing defenses since only five skaters have six goals or more and only four skaters have eight assists or more.
With their offense coming up and averaging 3.14 goals per game, including eight in their previous two games, the Senators are enjoying a bright season. The top two lines, Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stützle, and Claude Giroux, have combined for 26 goals and 41 assists, but the entire attack has been excellent. Defensemen Jake Sanderson and Thomas Chabot have added four goals and 16 assists from the point to help open up the attack while Alex DeBrincat, Drake Batherson, and Shane Pinto have combined for 19 goals and 24 assists.
