The Ottawa Senators will welcome the Montreal Canadiens to the Canadian Tire Centre for an NHL preseason game on Saturday. Ottawa have not had a good preseason so far as they only won one game out of the four they played. In their last game, they lost 6-3 to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Drake Bratherson, Angus Crookshank and Parker Kelly scored goals for Ottawa. Drake Bratherson said after the game, “We are looking forward to the rest of the pre-season games to create that chemistry and get it going for the real thing once the season starts.”
The Montreal Canadiens on the other hand were involved in a close game with the Winnipeg Jets which they lost 4-3. Goals from Cole Caufield, Brendan Gallagher and Kaiden Guhle were not enough for Montreal as they fell to their third straight defeat of the preseason. Goaltenders Cayden Primeau and Jake Allen had good games with Allen only allowing one goal from the 11 shots he faced.
