The game between the New York Islanders and Edmonton Oilers will take place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on Wednesday, November 23 at 7:30 PM ET.
The Edmonton Oilers will travel to the UBS Arena to take on the New York Islanders in the NHL on Wednesday. New York defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 in their last game. Goals from Noah Dobson, Josh Bailey and Anthony Beauvillier scored the goals for the Islanders as they registered their 12th win of the season.
Josh Bailey said after the game, “You just have to grind it out some nights. We just stuck with it and were fortunate to find a way to win and a big goal by Beauvillier in OT.”
The Edmonton Oilers on the other hand were soundly beaten 5-2 by the New Jersey Devils in their last game. Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the two goals for the Oilers but could not prevent their team from being run over by New Jersey. This was the Oilers’ ninth loss of the season.
Edmonton goaltender Stuart Skinner spoke after the game and said, “Obviously a tough game. Tough loss. They’re obviously a great team. They’re obviously hot right now as well. They’ve got some great players that make some great plays and it was just tough to lose, especially two in a row to these guys. But all we can do is learn from our mistakes and move on.”
