The New Jersey Devils will welcome the St. Louis Blues to Prudential Center for an NHL game on Saturday. The Devils won 1-5 against the Red Wings in their last game. Vitek Vanecek made 32 saves and blanked Detroit for 58 minutes as the New Jersey Devils downed the Red Wings 5-1 on Wednesday night.
Dougie Hamilton, Nico Hischier, Alexander Holtz and Jack Hughes each had a goal and an assist. Michael McLeod also scored for New Jersey. Lucas Raymond scored on a late power play to prevent a shutout. Red Wings goalie Villo Husso stopped 21 shots.
The Blues on the other hand won 5-6 against the Leafs in their last game. Brayden Schenn scored on the power play and again in the shootout to give the St. Louis Blues a 6-5 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night.
“We did some good things offensively,” Blues coach Craig Berube said. “Couple power-play goals and short-handed, so special teams were a big factor tonight, for sure. I thought we played pretty solid for two periods and it still was a tight game.”
