The New Jersey Devils will take on Boston Bruins at Prudential Center (Newark) in the NHL Preseason game on October 3. The Bruins beat the Flyers 4-0 on Saturday afternoon. Linus Urmark recorded a shutout, stopping all 21 shots he saw. Mark McLaughlin and John Beecher each scored two goals for Boston, with an assist from former Devils forward Pavel Zacha. The Devils want to play meaningful games this season. The last “meaningful” game they played was March 31st of last season. This statement is technically correct, as it was the final day of last season when the Devils were not mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. It was also a game Lindy Ruff described as “our own playoff.”

The Devils held a public practice on Sunday for their black and red members. According to the team’s website, it was mainly focused on special teams and situational hockey. As a result, there are no line combinations like in regular practice. I think we’ll learn about the Devils’ line-up this morning at Skate. If so, we will update this article at that time. For those who missed the final two preseason games, these are the lineup and defensive lineup the Devils made against the Rangers for the 2022-23 season. Calder in his Cup playoff games last season with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League, where he had two assists in three games. The first-round draft pick scored his first goal of the season in Ufa’s 3-0 victory on Friday. Muhammadullin has only one assist this season, but he’s not short on effort. With his 26 shots, he is second among Ufa defenders, but in the Ice Age, he was fifth per game. He also leads all Ufa his skaters with a pass completion rate of 88.77% among those who have played at least two of his games.
