The Los Angeles Kings will welcome the Philadelphia Flyers to Crypto.com Arena for an NHL game on Saturday. The Kings won 4-5 against the Avalanche in their last game. Adrian Kempe scored the shootout winner. Trailing 4-2 entering the the third, Alex Iafallo scored on the power play at 1:11. Then Sean Walker tied it from the slot with 5:40 left on Kevin Fiala’s 26th assist.
Gabriel Vilardi and Phillip Danault also scored and Copley made 23 saves for the Kings, who improved to 6-0-1 in their last seven games. “We got back to the little details,” Danault said of the comeback. ”Nobody cheated. We played solid defensively and we didn’t give up much. (Copley) was outstanding again. A very big character win.”
The Flyers on the other hand won 3-4 against the Sharks in their last game. Tony DeAngelo scored 1:10 into overtime to complete Philadelphia’s rally from two goals down in the third period as the Flyers beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3 on Thursday night.
“I just liked the way we stayed with it and found a way to finally win in overtime today,” coach John Tortorella said. “We did some good things. … We found a way.”
