The Edmonton Oilers will take on Seattle Kraken at Rogers Place (Edmonton) in the NHL Preseason game on October 7. With a game against the Seattle Kraken at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Rogers Place, the Edmonton Oilers will conclude their 2022 exhibition schedule. You may watch the game online at EdmontonOilers.com or tune into the Oilers Radio Network, which includes 630 CHED, to hear it live. The Oilers’ preseason campaign comes to a close on Friday at Roger Place when they take against the Kraken. On September 26 at Climate Pledge Arena, the two teams faced off, with Seattle winning in a 3-0 shutout. Tyson Barrie, Derek Ryan, and Kailer Yamamoto were the only skaters who had participated in a sizable number of games for the Blue & Orange. The game included a few players who are still in camp with the Oilers.

24 of the 27 shots from the Kraken were blocked by the goaltender duo of Ryan Fanti and Olivier Rodrigue, resulting in the defeat. With Calvin Pickard being placed on waivers with the intention of being transferred to Bakersield, neither goalkeeper will be present for the game on Friday, effectively cementing the goaltending duo of Jack Campbell and Stuart Skinner. The Canucks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-4 in overtime on Wednesday in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

It’s safe to say that the Abbotsford audience got their money’s worth in the game, as Vancouver took advantage of eight powerplay opportunities to score three times. When he continually avoided Canucks defenders and scored the type of highlight-reel goal we’ve all grown accustomed to, Connor McDavid appeared prepared for the regular season. Despite allowing five goals, Stuart Skinner played well in goal, stopping multiple Canucks breakaways and making a few key saves in the defeat.
