Silber claims that Protas is making a compelling case to continue with the big club long after the preseason after scoring the lone goal in Washington’s 3-1 loss to Columbus. The 21-year-old might potentially start making regular contributions to a squad that wants to continue competing for the Stanley Cup. After the second round of cuts, two of the Vegas Golden Knights’ top prospects were eliminated. According to Owen Krepps of Vegas Hockey Now, Brendan Brisson and Sakari Manninen, two of the most likely prospects to join the club, will both get experience with the Henderson Silver Knights.
