The game between the Buffalo Sabres and Los Angeles Kings will take place at KeyBank Center on Tuesday, December 13 at 7:00 PM ET.
The Buffalo Sabres will welcome the Los Angeles Kings to KeyBank Center for an NHL game on Tuesday. The Sabres lost 3-1 against the Penguins in their last game. Peyton Krebs scored for the Sabres, who lost for the third time in five games. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen finished with 28 saves. Krebs pulled the Sabres within one at 11:00 of the third period. He deflected a point shot from Casey Fitzgerald behind DeSmith for his second of the season.
Crosby put the game away in the final two minutes when he scored on a partial breakaway for his 17th. It capped Crosby’s 165th career three-point game, surpassing Jari Kurri for ninth-most in NHL history. “That first period wasn’t our best,” Krebs said. “It started with some penalties that kind of ruined the flow a little bit.”
The Kings on the other hand lost 6-5 against the Blue Jackets in their last game. The Kings appeared to take charge in the second period, as Kopitar cut the lead in half at 4:42 and Lizotte pulled Los Angeles even at 8:25. Laine used a give-and-go from Roslovic to put Columbus back in front just after the midpoint of the second, before Anderson-Dolan pulled the Kings even again 5 minutes later.
“That’s great that we’re scoring all these goals, but obviously we’re not getting enough points,” Kings coach Todd McLellan said. “It’s great that we come back. Great that we score goals. Great that we stick with it. But the carelessness is killing us.”
