The Arizona Coyotes will welcome the New York Islanders to the Mullett Arena for an NHL game on Friday. Arizona were beaten 3-2 by the San Jose Sharks in their last game. Nick Bjugstad and Lawson Crouse scored the goals for the Coyotes but that was not enough as they lost their 14th game of the season. Goaltender Karel Vejmelka saved 30 of the 33 shots that he faced and finished the game with a .909 save percentage.

The New York Islanders on the other hand come into this game on the back of a 4-3 loss to the Boston Bruins in their last game that ended in a shootout. Josh Bailey, Noah Dobson and Casey Cizikas scored the goals for the Islanders in regulation time. In the shootout, only Mathew Barzal converted for the Islanders as they lost their 12th game of the season.
