Marshal Yanda is regarded by many as one of the modern greats and one of the best football guard ever to play in the National Football League (NFL) and is currently retired. He was born on 15 September,1984 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He played college football for the Iowa Haweyes football team while attending University of Iowa. He was selected as a third-team All-American by The NFL Draft Report in 2006 and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors from the league’s coaches in recognition for his contributions on the field. He was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2007 Draft. He was drafted as the seventh offensive tackle in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played for the Baltimore Ravens between 2007 and 2020. In 2020, he retired after playing 13 seasons for the Ravens. He received 8 Pro Bowl selections and 7 All-Pro selections. He was also awarded the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honour award and was also inducted to the NFL 2010’s All-Decade Team. He was listed on PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2007.
