Joe Staley is regarded by many as one of the modern greats and one of the best football offensive tackle ever to grace the National Football League (NFL) and currently retired and played for the San Francisco 49ers. He was born on 30 August,1984 in Rockford, Michigan. He played college football for the Central Michigan Chippewas football where played from 2004 to 2007. He received an athletic scholarship to attend the Central Michigan University. He started his freshman season as a tight end and played in 11 games as a true freshman, catching 11 passes for 130 yards and one touchdown. He got a career-high two catches for 34 yards and a touchdown against the Eastern Michigan University. Joe Staley was picked up by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2007 NFL Draft in the first round. Staley started as his career and his debut season as the starting right tackle and he finished the season with 16 starts and allowed 8 sacks.
