Carson Wentz passed for 337 yards and had three touchdown passes and one interception. Antonio Gibson, Curtis Samuel, Jahan Dotson and Logan Thomas scored one touchdown each for Washington.
Commanders head coach Ron Rivera said after the game, “When you get some chunk plays and put yourself into scoring position, you can get something rolling. We did that in the second half, but if we had done it in the second quarter, it might have changed the whole game.”
On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles come into this game on the back of a 24-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings in their last game. Jalen Hurts passed for 333 yards and had one touchdown pass and one interception. He also rushed for 57 yards and scored two touchdowns. Wide receiver Quez Watkins ran for 69 yards and scored one touchdown of his own.
Eagles Center Jason Kelce was full of praise for Jalen Hurts and said after the game, “Another outstanding performance. He threw some unbelievable balls. He made a lot of plays. This was a really great, well-rounded game for him.”
