The Commanders come into this game on the back of a 17-15 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in their last preseason game. Quarterback Sam Howell had a great game and completed 24 of his 35 attempted passes. He also passed for 280 yards and had one touchdown pass. Howell also rushed for 62 yards.

Sam Howell, a fourth-round draft pick for Washington was all praise for head coach Ron Rivera. Speaking to the press after the game, Sam said that he was grateful to his coach for letting him play the whole game. “Overall just super grateful for the opportunity coach Rivera gave me to play the whole game,” Howell said.

On the other hand, the Jaguars come into this game on the back of a 28-12 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the last game. Quarterback EJ Perry attempted 37 passes and completed 19 of them. From them, he passed for 201 yards and had one touchdown pass and one interception. Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell ran for 14 yards and scored one touchdown.

The preseason went well for the Jaguars as there were a lot of spots up for grabs. First year coach Doug Pederson was impressed with what he saw from his players and gave a bit of encouraging news to all the hopefuls. He said, “A lot of guys today made a statement for a possible roster spot or practice squad spot.”
