Miami Dolphins vs Las Vegas Raiders will take place at Hard Rock Stadium for an NFL preseason match on Saturday. The Dolphins come into this game on the back of a 26-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Quarterback Skylar Thompson passed for 218 yards and had one touchdown in what was a hugely impressive performance.
Kicker Jason Sanders kicked four field goals, including a 53-yarder that put Miami ahead in the game with just under seven minutes remaining on the clock. Kyle Trask drove the Bucs into position to potentially win the game, but Jose Borregales’ 49-yard field goal attempt hit the right upright and bounced away as time expired. The Dolphins also converted the interception into points, with Thompson tossing a 22-yard TD pass to Lynn Bowden Jr.
On the other hand, the Raiders come into this game on the back of a 26-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings last week. Quarterback Nick Mullens passed for 94 yards and had one touchdown while Jarrett Stidham passed for 68 yards. Running back Brittain Brown and Jarrett Stidham had one touchdown each in what was a good game for Las Vegas.
Wide receiver DJ Turner also recorded one touchdown while covering 58 yards at an average of 19.3. Nick Mullens who had a good game said after the game, “We talked a lot about being productive on first down. And I think if you just look at the stats overall in the NFL, if you’re productive on first down it’s going to keep you on schedule to establish good drives. Everybody banded together, our O-line did a really good job, we ran the ball, and played productive as a unit.”
