Los Angeles Rams vs Buffalo Bills will take place at SoFi stadium for the opening game of the NFL season on Thursday. The Rams, who are the defending champions, come into this game on the back of a 16-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in their last preseason game. Quarterback Bryce Perkins passed for 143 yards and registered one touchdown having rushed for 33 yards.
Sean McVay, who is the coach of the Rams said that despite being the defending champions, they should look to the future and not to the past as that will only hinder them moving forward. He said, “It feels like it was a long time ago. It’s one that I’ll always cherish, but I think if you live in the past, you’re going to get exposed in the present. So we’re not going to do that.”
On the other hand, the Bills come into this game on the back of a 21-0 thrashing at the hands of the Carolina Panthers in their last preseason game. Quarterbacks Matt Barkley and Case Keenum passed for 100 and 46 yards respectively but did not have a touchdown or an interception. Running back Raheem Blackshear rushed for 47 yards but had no joy.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott has a headache in choosing who should be in his starting lineup and said that he is trying his best to select the best possible players. He said, “We’re still working through that. Everything we try and do is to give our team the best advantage to win, and do right by the players on our team, and make sure that they’re in the right headspace to play their best football, particularly for these two rookies.”
Rams: Van Jefferson, Xavier Jones, Daniel Hardy, Quentin Lake, Logan Bruss, Travin Howard
Bills: Tommy Doyle, Quintin Morris, Ike Boettger, Marquez Stevenson, Tre’Davious White
