Kansas City Chiefs vs Washington Commanders will take place at Arrowhead Stadium for an NFL preseason game on Saturday. The Chiefs come into this game on the back of a 19-14 loss to the Chicago Bears last week. Shane Buechele passed for 99 yards and had one touchdown and one interception while Patrick Mahomes passed for 60 yards and had one touchdown.
Wide receiver Justin Watson had one touchdown and ran 45 yards while tight end Blake Bell also had one touchdown. After the game, star man Patrick Mahomes said, “We did what we were supposed to do. We went out there, we were able to spread the football around, get a lot of different guys involved and found a way to get in the end zone.”
On the other hand, the Commanders come into this game on the back of a 23-21 loss at the hands of the Carolina Panthers last week. Taylor Heinicke passed for 21 yards and had one interception while Sam Howell passed for 145 yards and Carson Wentz passed for 74 yards. Sam Howell also recorded two touchdowns at an average of 6.3 in what was a great performance.
Despite the loss, Washington’s players were looking at the positives and star man Carson Wentz stressed how it was good to get into the groove of things. After the game, Wentz said, “It was good to get out here and not be booed and have some fun. It wasn’t perfect, but it was good to kind of get our feet wet a little bit offensively.”
