The Colts come into this game on the back of a 24-0 thrashing at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars and as a result of that sit in third place on the AFC South table. Matt Ryan passed for 195 yards and had three interceptions as he completed 16 of his 30 passes. After the game, Colts head coach Frank Reich held up his hand and said, “I don’t feel it’s a lack of motivation. I just feel it’s a lack of we got outcoached and we got outplayed.”
On the other hand, the Kansas City Chiefs come into this game on the back of a 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers and as a result of that sit in first place on the AFC West table with a 2-0 record. Patrick Mahomes passed for 235 yards and had two touchdown passes as he completed 24 of his 35 passes. Justin Watson and Jerick McKinnon scored one touchdown each for the Chiefs in what was a hard fought win over Los Angeles.
After the game, Kansas City’s safety Justin Reid said, “This is what it’s going to be. We know we’re playing in the toughest division. We know we’re going to get everyone’s best shot. We have to come out and we have to perform.”
