Buffalo Bills vs Denver Broncos will take place at Highmark Stadium for an NFL preseason game on Saturday. The Bills come into this game on the back of a 27-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts last week. Matt Barkley passed for 224 yards and had one interception while Case Keenum passed for 86 yards and had two interceptions. Running back Raheem Blackshear recorded two touchdowns at an average of 1.8.
Tyler Bass made a 46-yard field goal as time expired as Buffalo scored on three consecutive possessions in the final 8:10 to rally from a 14-point deficit. Coach Sean McDermott took the positives from the win and said after the game, “It was good to see us come together a little bit as a team and play better complementary football in the second half. Obviously, the turnovers and penalties in the first half can’t happen.”
On the other hand, the Broncos come into this game on the back of a 17-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys last week. Quarterback Josh Johnson passed for 172 yards with two touchdowns while Brett Rypien passed for 113 yards. Johnson, who is 36 years old and playing for his 14th NFL team, threw a pair of first-half touchdown passes as the Broncos recorded an easy win. After the game, Johnson said, “I’m just enjoying the ride, honestly. I like to say for us backups, the preseason is the season.”
