Orlando center Mo Bamba exited the bench late in the third quarter of Friday night’s Timberwolves-Magic game and got into a confrontation with Minnesota guard Austin Rivers. Their altercation erupted into a riot on the Target Center floor in Minneapolis.
Rivers had just missed a 3-pointer and appeared to be responding to something spoken from the Magic bench when Bamba moved forward, sparking a scuffle. The officials dismissed Rivers, Taurean Prince, and Jaden McDaniels of the Timberwolves, as well as Bamba and Jalen Suggs of the Magic, after evaluating the action.
On the replay, Suggs was seen pulling Rivers away from Bamba, causing Rivers to fall hard to the court. At the time of the break, Orlando led 83-73.
