While Harden has been good in spurts, his stay at Philly has largely been underwhelming. His performances have been a far cry from the MVP numbers he put up during his time in Houston.

The Philadelphia 76ers were ecstatic when they completed the James Harden trade with the Brooklyn Nets on deadline day for Ben Simmons, Andre Drummond and Seth Curry. While Harden has been good in spurts, his stay at Philly has largely been underwhelming. His performances have been a far cry from the MVP numbers he put up during his time in Houston.

Stephen A. Smith has now gone on and said that James Harden has not been the same since the hamstring injury he suffered during his time with the Nets.

“He hasn’t looked the same since that very hamstring injury he suffered last year in Brooklyn that you talked about. I am not seeing a guy that can get by people with ease”

“The reason why that’s a big deal is you didn’t bring James Harden to beat the Toronto Raptors. You bought him for the next round and round after that.”

Charles Barkley has a warning for Harden

James Harden recently said that he does not feel any playoff pressure and that sparked a stark reaction from Charles Barkley. Barkley who spent a lot of years in Philly said that Harden should think twice before passing such statements as his record of moving teams over the last three seasons will not win him any fans in Philadelphia.

Barkley said, “James Harden, you said you don’t feel no pressure. Man, you better think again. Them people in Philadelphia ain’t gon’ be having you going out there, playing bad. You got more pressure on you than any player in the playoffs. Good luck, now. Because my Sixers, I love y’all. But James, don’t try. Don’t tell that lie.”

Deep down, Harden knows that the reason he moved to Philly is because of his relationship with 76ers president Daryl Morey. Daryl and Harden have known each other since their time together at the Houston Rockets.
