The Phoenix Suns will face off against the LA Lakers in an enthralling NBA Summer League game at the Thomas and Mack Center on July 8. This is the first game for both teams in the Las Vegas leg of the tournament.
The Suns have an exciting young roster for the Summer league campaign. One of the most notable names in the team is Ish Wainright. The youngster appeared in a few games for the Phoenix Suns last season, where he showed glimpses of his brilliance. Wainright will certainly be gunning to have a breakout year next season. However, before that, he will be looking to put up special numbers in the Summer League and fight for a place on the Suns NBA team.
Meanwhile, their opponents on Friday are the LA Lakers, who themselves have many exciting prospects on their roster. Their draft pick Max Christie is certainly going to be one of their main players for the Summer League campaign. His three-point shooting is questionable but other than that the Michigan State player looks a good fit with the Lakers. Others like Scotty Pippen Jr., Jay Huff and Shareef O’Neal are also going to be pivotal in the game. The Purple and Gold had an impressive California Classic leg. They will be looking to carry on that momentum and give it their all in the Las Vegas leg of the tournament.
