The Star Point Guard Ben Simmons is not bothered of sitting out the entire season if he doesn’t get traded by the Philadelphia 76ers. Simmons is currently in the second year of a five year contract of $177 million deal with Philadelphia. Simmons requested to get traded even before the season could get started, later he went on to skip the 76ers training camp. Before the season started in October, Simmons said that he wasn’t ” Mentally ready to Play” and needed time.

According to reports from Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Simmons is prepared and ready to sit out the entire season if the Philadelphia 76ers are not able to find a trade partner before the end of the trade deadline next month.

Shelburne also said that Simmons wants to move on and restart his life and his career. Simmons is being fined for every game, every practice session, for every weight lifting session that he’s missing.

The saga between Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers began in the last year’s NBA round two Playoffs as 76ers lost the game due to Simmons’ performance in the last moments of the game against the Atlanta Hawks.

This resulted in Joel Embiid being unhappy with Simmons and wanting the management to trade Simmons the following season. Simmons felt the heat from all the fans of Philadelphia as they booed him and apparently Simmons wanted the trade to happen as he was willing to play for a new team this season.

Will Ben Simmons be traded before the deadline next month?

The biggest question on everyone’s mind is to which team will Ben Simmons be traded and what if he doesn’t get traded before the deadline will he stay with the 76ers.

The update is that there have been talks of a possible deal with the Sacramento kings trading in Simmons for DeAaron Fox as per the reports of Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports but the talks are said to be false.

So far the Philadelphia 76ers were unable to find a team who is willing to trade in for Simmons and the president of 76ers Darel Morey has been found reportedly asking a lot in return from him initially as that clearly didn’t help Simmons.

The trade doesn’t happen before the deadline and Simmons stays with 76ers and probably he would sit out the whole season and his time with Philadelphia 76ers would end either way.
