Raptors’ OG Anunoby drops a savage slam on DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan is without a doubt one of the NBA’s most skilled scorers today. Nevertheless, the Chicago Bulls star isn’t a strong contender for Defensive Player of the Year. This is precisely what Toronto Raptors small forward OG Anunoby tried to showcase with a big face on DeRozan on Tuesday night. Anunoby’s eyes seemed to light up when he found himself on an island with DeMar. OG went one-on-one with DeRozan, and it did not go well for the latter.

Anunoby took the stride on DeRozan and soared to the rim. DeMar did his hardest to compete, but it was too little, too late against the Raptors’ star. Even Bulls center Nikola Vucevic looked on as OG used his rude splash to put his buddy on a billboard.

In the end, the Raptors won this Eastern Conference clash, 104-98. Anunoby had another impressive game for Toronto, finishing with 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal, and two three-pointers in 34 minutes.

This was an important win for Toronto since the Bulls were one of the teams vying for a position in the Play-In tournament. The Raptors currently hold a 1.5-game lead over the Bulls, but they are far from assured of a position in the Play-In round. The rest of the race will be difficult in what has turned out to be a very close bottom half in the East.
